On August 16, 2024, the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on State Regulation of the Circulation of Plants of the Cannabis Genus (Cannabis) for Use in Educational, Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities, Production of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Medicinal Products in Order to Expand Patients’ Access to Necessary Treatment” was enacted.

According to the conclusions of the analytical report of the European Commission on Membership in the European Union dated February 1, 2023, in order to bring the legislation of Ukraine into line with the EU acquis in the field of healthcare and taking into account the needs of patients in cannabis medicines, experts of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine conducted an examination of the API “Kuralif”.

On January 3, 2025, API “Kuralif” was registered and entered into the State Register of Medicinal Products of Ukraine:

Cannabis medicines are prescribed to patients with diseases and conditions specified in the List of diseases and conditions for which medicines are prescribed that can be manufactured in a pharmacy from the cannabis plant substance, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of 13.09. 2024
