A Londoner charged after police seized $29 million in cocaine is a Mexican national facing an order to leave Canada, provincial police say.

The OPP guns and gangs enforcement team launched Project Shearwater in September after learning of a cocaine trafficking network operating in the Greater Toronto Area, police said Monday.

Investigators searched a home in Mississauga Dec. 13 and another four homes and an industrial unit in Toronto, Ajax, Markham and Gravenhurst Jan. 16 and 17, police said. Six vehicles also were searched.
