In this eleventh video on our fourth lecture series, I discuss RLUIPA as a federal free exercise statute. Those who have been here know that this statute has been covered several times from various perspectives several times throughout the lifespan of this channel. And it will continue to be so, as far as I can see. But I hope the broader, more direct perspective I deliver here is more sensical for you. Please let me know about this, your opinion helps formulate how I deliver these things in court, by the way.

I am going to consult my working outline to see what subject matter will be specifically addressed next video, but I can say I believe its time to probably head into some deep dives about the UDV and SD cases and how parties to a RFRA suit meet their relative burdens under the statute in entheogen-based litigation. After that, we will discuss state RFRA laws and constitutional provisions (which many serve to substitute RFRA statutes in many states), and a wrap up with a discussion of whether state religious free exercise protections, on their own, offer any more clear or robust protections than the federal statutes and first amendment..
