In two recent polls conducted by The Tarrance Group in presidential battleground states Nevada and Arizona, voters strongly supported the legalization cannabis. Marijuana Moment reports.

In Nevada, respondents strongly supported adult-use reforms (71%) and banking access for cannabis industry (80%), whereas only 22% of respondents said that cannabis should remain Schedule I in federal law. In Arizona, respondents strongly supported adult-use legalization (69%), cannabis banking reforms (78%), and medical cannabis (86%). Only 19% said cannabis should remain Schedule I under federal law.

The polls, which were commissioned The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, aligned with other polling conducted in August, which found similar voter support in battleground states Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin.

In a press release, Brian Herrington, Vice President of External Affairs at Scotts Miracle-Gro said: “Key groups of voters who are expected to have a major impact on the presidential election and the control of Congress share one common view; they strongly support marijuana laws and regulations that make sense.”

“Legalizing adult-use cannabis is not only good for policy, but also good for politics,” NORML Deputy director Paul Armentano stated in a Press release. “State and Federal politicians who continue to ignore the sentiments of their constituents on these matters do so at their peril.”

Polling indicates that voters are united in their support for cannabis reforms as we head into the November presidential elections between Donald Trump (R) and former President Hillary Clinton (D), Recently endorsed Florida’s cannabis-legalization bid and Vice President Kamala (D), who, while serving as U.S. Senator, supported federal legalization of adult-use marijuana.
