The state legislature passed a bill this year that mandates that the CCB improve geographic diversity of dispensaries in order to ensure that there aren’t clusters in cities that have opted-in. VTDigger also reported that there are still more licensed cannabis stores in the works, which have been licensed but not yet opened. CCB members are concerned that some cannabis shops may rush to open up in cities like Burlington which support the use of cannabis.
