Al Harrington Will Launch Village Dispensary in His Home State of New Jersey | Where to order cannabis online

[PRESS RELEASE] NEW YORK – September 9, 2024 – Village Brands, a multistate cannabis operator founded in part by industry pioneers Al Harrington and Dan Peettigrew, will open its first East Coast store in New Jersey.

Harrington and Pettigrew founded Viola in honor of his grandmother, who he helped find relief from her glaucoma using cannabis. The two then formed Village Brands to expand their footprint by opening dispensaries across the country.

Harrington said, “I am grateful to be able to bring my experience and love of the cannabis industry from the last 13-years to Jersey.” “It is a full-circle moment to open a cannabis dispensary in a state where I was frisked and stopped as a child who had never touched flower.”

Harrington, in addition to expanding access for people of colour to cannabis’ medicinal benefits, also works to ensure the history of prohibition is brought to light and its disproportionate impact upon communities of color. She advocates for increased access and opportunities for people of colour to cannabis. Harrington and Pettigrew are proud supporters of NJ CAN 2020, a campaign to end the prohibition in New Jersey.

The retail location will provide quality customer service to the many professionals in the area, while staying true to the hyperlocal focus. The dispensary is set to feature a variety of products, including those from the landmark brand Viola.

To celebrate the official opening of Village on September 21st Village will partner with local businesses to offer deals and promotional offers, launching Village’s initiative for community building and championing other local Hoboken business.
