Licensees impacted by wildfires can request disaster relief from the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC).
Licensees facing an immediate wildfire threat do not need to contact DCC before moving cannabis or cannabis products. Products must be moved to a secure location where access is restricted to the licensee and the licensee’s employees and contractors.
Within 24 hours of moving the cannabis or cannabis products, licensees must:
- Email [email protected] to notify DCC that the cannabis or cannabis products have been moved,
- Disclose the location where the cannabis or cannabis products have been moved to, and
- Upon request, allow DCC staff to access and inspect the location.
Within 14 days of moving the cannabis or cannabis products, licensees must:
- Notify DCC describing the request for regulatory relief using the Request for Disaster Relief (Form DCC-8101).
- Be prepared to identify the specific DCC regulations they are requesting relief from and to explain why the relief is needed.
- Email the completed Request of Disaster Relief form to [email protected]
