Public records show that California regulators have revoked the license of another commercial cannabis testing lab in the last month.

Verity Analytics, based in San Diego County, has had its license revoked. This is reflected on the California Department of Cannabis Control’s (DCC) permit data. The long-awaited crackdown against unscrupulous laboratories continues.

Verity is the fourth Californian cannabis testing laboratory to lose its license since December 2023.

The other three California cannabis labs that have lost their permits are:

• NCALC, doing biz as THC Analytical : License revoked Dec. 20, 2023.
• California Cannabis Testing Labs, based in Salinas: License canceled July.
• Northridge-headquartered ProForma Labs: License revoked on Feb. 16, 2024

Most of the revocations were due to THC-potency inflation, and poor lab practices.

The permit revocations are a part of the sharp decline in active labs in California. This decrease coincided with a stricter enforcement of standards by the state. Read the story >
