Should not the TGA be looking at this and does the term Budtender even apply under Australian regulations?

Also i have seen no record of Harborside engaging with the Australian market.. so what’s going on here?

Sunset Strip is on Philip Island .. is a medical outlet opening there?

Is it / will it be branded Harborside?

This job ad raises more than a few questions as do Harborside these days because if you read on because supposedly in 2026 the Harborside cannabis brand is a part of StateHouse Holdings Inc

Yet , as of late 2024 the assets of StateHouse Holdings were in the process of being sold through a court-appointed receivership due to significant debt and financial difficulties.

The company entered bankruptcy and ceased trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Harborside‘s parent company is still listed as StateHouse Holdings Inc.,

The current names I can find that connect to Statehouse are Matthew Hawkins ( Chairman) and James E Scott (CEO)

Matthew Hawkins (Chairman of the Board) who as you’ll see from the link to bloomberg is still in tenure but he mentions nothing of it on his linked in only Founder/Managing Partner at Entourage Effect Capital (formerly known as Cresco Capital Partners)

Another wormhole that i won’t get distracted by except to say that between Hawkins & Shapiro they been involved in the following deals and outfits.

Statehouse, Cookies & High Times in the period 2020 onwards.

All are cases of questionable governance and deals.

As always, there’s a pattern, as these outfits look for the next mini-goldrush to exploit.

Edward Schmults listed as Chief Executive Officer and Director has now moved on as of Nov 2024 according to his Linked In

So the question is what are Hawkins & Scott up to?

I’m guessing….Phillip Island motorbike racing.

They have a mate in Australia who they have persuaded the open up under the brand that they and their predecessors managed to destroy trading on the fact that under De’Angelo’s tutelage, before he was dumped, that it was the founding Californian medical cannabis dispensary built on ethics and health rather than profit motives.

The subsequent owners have spun out that narrative whilst reducing the business to a lowest common deniminator retail brand.

In 2026  the name is quite frankly, meaningless, and the sloppy job ad, if it is even reality, is proof of that.

This partner, whoever he / she  is,  in Australia, probably thinks they are onto to a winner.

I would suggest otherwise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (the list is not all inclusive)

  • Ensures stations are ready to go at venue opening time.

  • Remains knowledgeable ono cannabinoids terpenes, and methods of cannabis consumption as it relates to sales of cannabis products.
  • Accurately creates and/or updates customer profiles.
  • Keeps up to date on locations daily/weekly sales, promotions, and discounts.
  • Ensure each guests receives their full attention during their transaction.
  • Assist with inventory as directed by manager.
  • Provides excellent customer experience.

  • Accurate records customer transactions in POS system
  • Ensures that all phases of the customer experience remain seamless and exceed their expectations.
