In a circular dated 11 April but published today, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health have clarified the operating procedures for checks on the new rules of the Highway Code.
1) No more automatic association between hashtagTHC in blood and crime. It will be necessary to prove that the consumption took place in the hours before driving;
2) Exempted are those undergoing drug treatment.
A clear step forward in the name of legality and protection of patients’ rights, especially for those being treated with medical hashtagcannabis.
