Socialite Brynne Edelsten has been charged with drug offences after police raided her inner-Melbourne home on Monday.
The former wife of the late businessman Geoffrey Edelsten fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday after commercial hauls of meth, ketamine and a date rape drug were allegedly found at her Fitzroy residency.
Police were tipped off when a co-accused allegedly sent parcels of meth from Victoria to Tasmania in October.
The 42-year-old mother was reportedly in tears throughout her court hearing, where she was accused of being involved in an elaborate trafficking scheme.
The court heard it could take up to 12 months to analyse phone data to determine if she was allegedly involved in the case, Seven News reported.
Ms Edelsten denied having any knowledge of the drugs at her inner-city home.
The United States-born television personality was previously charged with trafficking and possessing ice, but the case was quashed in court in 2022.
Ms Edelsten rose to fame in Australia after her stint on Dancing with the Stars in 2011 and Brynne: My Bedazzled Life, which ran from 2012 to 2014.
She also featured on SAS Australia in 2021.
Ms Edelsten was also known for her 41-year age gap marriage to Mr Edelsten.
The couple separated, and the marriage ended, in 2014.
Mr Edelsten, former owner of the Sydney Swans AFL team, died in his Melbourne apartment in June 2021, aged 78.
