We are proud to announce that NCIA has been named one of just 25 Designated Participants in an upcoming DEA hearing regarding the rescheduling of cannabis on December 2. NCIA is the only trade association representing the cannabis industry that has been invited to participate. Aaron Smith, CEO & Co-Founder of NCIA, told Marijuana Moment that “we look forward to making sure that the independent small businesses that make up the heart of the cannabis industry have a seat at the table at this hearing and we’re proud to be able to participate.” By November 12, NCIA must file “a brief notice”, and on December 2 dates for a followup hearing are anticipated to be set for January or February of 2025.
