Nevis Brands (CSE:NEVI, OTCQB:NEVIF) has announced the production and release of its Happy AppleĀ hemp-derived THC beverage.

The beverage, which combines anĀ all-natural sparkling apple drink with hemp-derived THC, isĀ now available for purchase through select retailers, wholesalers, and direct sales channels, including the company’s online platforms, DrinkHappyApple.com and NevisHemp.com.

Previously available in the regulated cannabis dispensary market in Washington State, Happy Apple is now expanding its reach to dozens of states across the US.

The company highlighted that the formulation has been adjusted to ensure compliance with federal laws. The THC component has been replaced with hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, which, under the 2018 Farm Bill, is legal in products containing less than 0.3% THC.

This opens up new sales avenues for Nevis, including traditional retailers and large liquor store chains like Total Wine, which now carry hemp-derived THC beverages.

Nevis will retail all revenues from the sale of Happy Apple, different from its licensing model.

ā€œWe are pleased to offer our second product for the Hemp Derived THC market,ā€ CEO John Kueber said in a statement.

ā€œWith Happy Apple Hemp Derived THC, we are able to open new markets such as traditional liquor stores and supermarkets as well as online sales.ā€

The hemp-derived beverages market is expected to grow to nearly $750 million in annual sales by 2029, according to research from Brightfield Group.

Kueber highlighted the growth of hemp-derived THC beverages as an ā€œexciting trendā€ for the cannabis beverages space.

ā€œWith both Happy Apple and Major now available as Hemp Derived THC beverages, we feel we are well positioned to succeed in both dispensaries, online and in traditional beverage channels such as liquor stores,ā€ the CEOĀ said.
