The storefront was immediately issued an Order to Seal and padlocked.
- Rhinebeck (Dutchess County): OCM investigators inspected an illicit cannabis operation used to grow, process, store, and sell unregulated products.Investigators recovered illicit flower, edibles, and concentrates with a total estimated value of over $900,000. The location was issued an Order to Seal and padlocked.
- Poughkeepsie: Thanks to community tips, investigators recovered approximately $335,000 in cannabis flower, along with edibles and concentrates. Both locations were issued Notices of Violation and sealed.
- Middletown: Following multiple complaints about illicit cannabis sales inside the Galleria Mall — near a children’s toy store and arcade — investigators seized cannabis products and padlocked the location.
- Blasdell (Buffalo area): OCM investigators, working with the Town of Hamburg Police Department and Code Enforcement, executed an access order at a location previously reported for illegal activity, including allegations of cannabis sales to minors. This operator was arrested after physically interfering with investigators.
So far in 2026, OCM has closed 22 illegal cannabis shops, building on the 557 illicit storefronts shut down statewide.
The Office will continue coordinated enforcement efforts to ensure the legal cannabis market remains safe, regulated, and fair for businesses operating in compliance with the law.
