LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) – A routine call for Laurel Police Department officers turned into a massive drug bust on Saturday, May 3.The Laurel Police Department responded to the Circle K on Chantilly Street in reference to a suspicious person that appeared to be intoxicated.
Christian Spano of Wilsonville, Alabama, 31, was found sitting in a U-Haul truck and put under arrest for misdemeanor charges. During the arrest, officers discovered 9,000 dosage units of LSD and 101 grams of cocaine.
What could have been dropped charges turned into two counts of trafficking a Controlled Substance.
Spano’s bond has been set at $200,000.
