Officers from the Radford Road neighbourhood policing team made the discovery at an address in High Church Street, New Basford, around 5pm on Monday (17 February).

The Class B drug was being cultivated in four rooms and two men found inside the property were detained by officers.

Klevis Bicaku, aged 24, and Sadri Seeaj, 21, both of High Church Street, have been charged with production of cannabis following further investigations.

The pair appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (19 February) and were remanded in custody until their next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 16 April 2025.

Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Cannabis grows bring nothing but problems to neighbourhoods so it is always a good result when we can put them out of action, destroy the crop and place suspects before the courts.”

All the cannabis seized from the address will be destroyed and the equipment used to power the grow removed.
