On Sept. 26th, detectives with the Kinston Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Golontae Brock. During the stop, detectives observed indicators of narcotics activity and conducted a probable cause search of the car.
The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 lbs of marijuana. Brock was arrested and taken into custody at the Kinston Police Department. Following the arrest, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at Brock’s residence on Jefferson Drive. Inside the home was found $1500, a handgun, and 3 oz. of marijuana.
Brock is facing the following charges:
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
- Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver(PWISD) Marijuana
- PWISD Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a daycare
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances
- Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances
Rufus is facing the following charges:
- PWISD Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a Daycare
- PWISD Marijuana
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances
- Impeding Traffic
