One of the pending rule amendments this year is a change to a required warning label for packaging, seen above. The Board is proposing changing to the ASTM-standard symbol for the āCONTAINS THCā warning, instead of the previous red-black-white image currently in use. (There is no proposed change to the āKEEP AWAY FROM CHILDRENā warning label at this time.)
To facilitate compliance with pending rule amendments, the Board has waived Rule 2.2.10(b) in order that licensees ordering labels may immediately order and use labels featuring the black-and-yellow ASTM-standard symbol above the words āCONTAINS THC,ā in place of the outgoing red-black-white version.
Licensees may use up old red-black-white āCONTAINS THCā symbols but should not order more.
Point-of-sale flyer
Vermont law requires that retailers display a safety information flyer at the point of purchase and offer the customer a copy of the flyer with each purchase.
If the customer chooses not to take the flyer, the retailer must inform the customer that if the customer elects not to receive the flyer, the information contained in the flyer is available on the website for the Board.
This flyer was developed by the Board in consultation with the Vermont Department of Health. It is available free of charge via the links below. Retailers are responsible for maintaining a sufficient printed flyer inventory.
