One of the pending rule amendments this year is a change to a required warning label for packaging, seen above. The Board is proposing changing to the ASTM-standard symbol for the ā€œCONTAINS THCā€ warning, instead of the previous red-black-white image currently in use. (There is no proposed change to the ā€œKEEP AWAY FROM CHILDRENā€ warning label at this time.)

To facilitate compliance with pending rule amendments, the Board has waived Rule 2.2.10(b) in order that licensees ordering labels may immediately order and use labels featuring the black-and-yellow ASTM-standard symbol above the words ā€œCONTAINS THC,ā€ in place of the outgoing red-black-white version.

Licensees may use up old red-black-white ā€œCONTAINS THCā€ symbols but should not order more.
