Three Jersey City police officers who were terminated for off-duty cannabis usage have been reinstated by the courts, but they are not allowed to carry their service guns.

The Jersey Journal reported that Omar Polanco and Norhan Mansour were told Tuesday to report to work on Wednesday. They were also placed on a pay status effective Sept. 20.

Polanco was terminated on March 1, 2023, Mansour on the 23rd of March 2023, and Reilly on August 25, 2023. City officials said that all three have been placed on modified duty, and are now working in a “office capacity”.
