Judge Mulrooney addressed several questions from pro-cannabis participants concerned about the government’s position.
The formal hearing proceedings regarding the proposed rescheduling of cannabis began on Dec. 2 at the headquarters of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The preliminary hearing was a procedural day for Judge John Mulrooney to address legal and logistical issues and discuss future dates for the evidentiary hearing on the merits. No witness testimony was offered or received.
