joint operation in Grand Bahama has led to the discovery of nearly $10 million in cocaine.

Police in Grand Bahama conducted a joint operation with the Bahamas Customs Department and US Counterparts, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of the drug.

According to reports, on January 1, 2025, around 1:30 pm, a container with 498 packages was searched at a local port, which contained a substantial amount of suspected cocaine. The suspected drugs carried an estimated weight of 1,277 lbs, with an estimated street value of $9, 960,000.00. No arrests were made in this discovery.

Investigations are continuing.
