This year’s topic, “Deeply rooted, Growing Together,” Underlines a commitment to cultivating a vibrant, inclusive cannabis community.

Black Cannabis Week The festivities kick off with the Daily Dose TourA journey of inspiration through different states to foster meaningful conversations. These events are available both in person and virtually, and provide a versatile way for individuals to engage and connect with others in different settings. BCW provides an opportunity for individuals to learn about key cannabis industry issues and developments, whether they participate online or in person.

“We invite you to join us for this revolutionary series of events. We encourage you to join us if your state is listed. Black Cannabis Week is a cornerstone in DACO’s programming. It is dedicated to educating and celebrating Black individuals within the cannabis industry, while addressing important issues and advocating equity and inclusion,” says Cherron Perry-ThomasCo-founder of the Diasporic Alliance of Cannabis Opportunities, the Cannabis Opportunities Conference (the first free cannabis conference for Black & Brown Communities) and Black Cannabis Week, in an effort to educate marginalized community members on the opportunities within the cannabis industry, restorative Justice and cannabis reform policies.

Black Cannabis Week 2024 will feature a number of marquee events, including:

Cannabis Opportunities ConferenceIn partnership with Senator Sharif StreetThis free conference for the local community embraces the unconference format, offering dynamic, participatory learning through debates and roundtables. There are also breakout sessions and an impressive expo. The event will include an expungement workshop, civic engagement activities, a job-fair, and MMJ cards registration in order to promote equity, social injustice, and economic opportunities for cannabis.
  2. Bouqe Presents BLAZE THE RUNWAYAn extraordinary event that combines fashion, music and cannabis culture. Bouqe is a black-owned brand of rolling papers founded by CK Duson in Washington, DC in 2017. It has become synonymous with enhancing cannabis consumption.
