Former President Trump breaks from Governor Ron DeSantis, and many Republicans in supporting Florida’s amendment on adult-use cannabis while urging restrictions to public use in order to avoid a ‘Democrat-run city’ scenario.

Donald Trump indicated last week his support for Florida Amendment 3, which would allow adult-use marijuana in the state. In a Post by On Truth Social, Trump predicted that the ballot initiative would be passed in November. He also called on lawmakers to “create laws that prohibit its use in public spaces so we don’t smell marijuana everywhere like we do in Democrat-run Cities.”
