Florida’s Fluent responds Reddit whistleblowers (19459000)

The management is planning a town-hall meeting to discuss the working conditions in a “professional and respectful setting.”

Cansortium Inc. (CSE: Tium.U) (OTCQB CNTMF) Fluent is facing fallout following videos and images shared on social media by an employee, and others, allegedly showing poor conditions at its Tampa Florida cultivation facility.

Video Postings Last week, on Reddit’s r/FLMedicalTrees Forum, appeared to show withering marijuana plants infested by aphids. The post gained traction quickly, with more than 500 votes and nearly 300 comments.

The employee, who goes by the handle “Old_Length4214”, wrote in the comments section sarcastically: “Ma’am, this is an aphid farming operation. We feed our aphids living cannabis to keep them healthy and happy!”

Fluent CEO Robert Beasley responded by confirming that the video was produced at the company’s facilities, but he also noted that there are quality control procedures in place to address the issues.

Beasley wrote in an email that “as preventing pests or pathogens completely is not possible, our quality control program will catch these issues and eliminate before they move onto the next stage of processing.” Green Market Report Tuesday is the day.

Beasley described a multi-step quality assurance procedure, which includes daily plant inspections and maintenance trimming, as well as pre-harvest quality grading. He said that plants that do not meet quality standards are removed, or sent to be extracted.

The employee wrote: “A lot of my coworkers, myself included, are considering leaving the business due to the bad things that have gotten.” They listed new restrictions including a ban on using phones “whatever” in the workplace and a prohibition on discussing grow issues or the “random” state health department visit the day before.

The employee said, “Morale has plummeted while management scrambles to do damage-control.” “We’ve been threatened every day with termination for more reasons than I could remember since we started our first job,” the employee continued.

The user also reported four people who were terminated within one hour of their posting.

Beasley said that the management was not trying to stop information flowing in response to increased scrutiny.

He continued, “The rationale behind this is to increase efficiency and safety at the workplace.” It also prevents incidents like this one, where a former worker took pictures of plants that were being trimmed or disposed and claimed they represented the final product output.

Beasley stated that “We cannot disclose details of employment issues, but we can confirm if an individual violates Company policies by posting misleading or derogatory information online about the Company, it could lead to termination.”
