Missouri regulators have announced that they will not enforce large portions of the recent executive order of the governor to ban the sale intoxicating hemp products.

Missouri regulators announced last week that they would not enforce most of Gov. Mike Parson (R)’s executive order to ban intoxicating products made from hemp, the Missouri Independent reports. Reports. The original order required that all products containing delta-8-THC or similar hemp-derived intoxicating cannabis cannabinoids be banned. However, regulators have now said they will only embargo those products they consider potentially attractive to children.

Richard Moore, general counsel at the Department of Health and Senior Services, said: “In regards to psychoactive cannabis products the Department will focus on the identification of misbranded products.” Write a letter.

The Department does not intend to embargo any additional psychoactive cannabis products at this time. In addition, within 30 calendar days of referral to the Attorney General’s Office the Department will release and remove all embargoed cannabis products.

Gov. Parson Signed the Executive Order Jay Ashcroft, Secretary of State, announced that the sale of hemp products with intoxicating properties would be banned on August 1.
