I can sort of understand your argument, but it won’t stop the new ones from popping up. I’m guessing that city officials and the police departments will use search engines to locate and raid these places. They could be shooting themselves in their own foot!

Los Angeles County officials approved this week a motion to “deplatform”, or remove, unlicensed cannabis dispensaries on online platforms such as Google and Yelp.

In the meantime, Measures to be takenThe Board notes that “the transition to a legally regulated cannabis market has been fraught with challenges, including high taxes, and barriers to entry for dispensaries and cultivation centers.”
These challenges have led to an unregulated cannabis market, including many unlicensed marijuana dispensaries. Unlicensed dispensaries can be problematic for a number of reasons, including the fact that their products may not have been tested and may even be mislabeled. They also do not pay tax, they promote illegal cannabis cultivation, which has many environmental consequences, and their lower prices undercut legal market.
The measure also adds that “unlicensed dispensaries are often the target of violence due to large amounts of cash in hand and the lower likelihood of their illegal operators notifying law enforcement of crimes.”
According to Pew Research Center Studying Los Angeles County, as shown in the February measure, is home to approximately 10% of the total population. Dispensaries Nearly 1,500 retailers are estimated to be operating in the United States. California Department of Cannabis Control data indicates that only 384 of these dispensaries will hold valid state and municipal licenses by 2022.
