NEWARK, N.J. After a federal investigation, a citizen of Peru has been extradited to America on charges of narcotics conspiracy and attempted importation.

Roque Rafael Martinez Cubas aka Ever Arteaga (51), made his first appearance on Sept. 4, at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, in Newark. Cubas has been indicted on one count of conspiracy for the illegal importation of 5 kilograms of cocaine and one count for attempting to distribute that amount of cocaine.

HSI Newark worked with agents and task force members of the FBI Newark and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration New Jersey Division, as well as the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Lima, Peru on the investigation that led to the charges.
