Michigan Sets New Cannabis sales record at $295.4M for August – Ganjapreneur (19459000)

According to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation, licensed cannabis retailers set a new record for monthly sales in August at $295.4 Million. Monthly Report for August 2024 Cannabis Regulation Authority (CRA) of the state.

According to state records, $294.1 millions of the sales came from adult-use products and $1.3 million from medical products. The state has now surpassed its previous record of $288.8 millions, set in March, by nearly $1.3 million.

Michigan Cannabis sales are on track to exceed $3.3 billion annually by 2024.

The state data also tracked over two million medical cannabis plant, including 89.904 immature plants, 880.568 vegetative plants, and 1,326,258 flowers plants; and just under 1.5 million adult-use marijuana plants, which include 301,282 plants immature and 403,607 plants vegetative and 833138 flowering plants.

Currently, the state has issued 2,237 cannabis licences. These include 1,022 growers and retailers, 827 processors, 22 transport companies with secure transportation, and 22 facilities for safety compliance. There are also 19 cannabis-related microbusinesses. 1 educational research license is available, 3 designated consumption locations, 45 cannabis event organizers and 4 temporary cannabis events licenses.
